The importance of the uniform for safety at work

Occupational Safety aims at the protection and integrity of the worker during the performance of his activities. One of the most important norms of Occupational Safety refers to the use of PPE (any individual protection item or device used by the employee).

It is at this point that uniforms become essential items for individual protection. They are even more efficient when produced with the correct fabrics. And for that, you Engineer, Technician, Doctor or Work Safety Officer, you can count on Santanense! We offer all types of professional fabrics, finishes and technology to ensure your uniform performs better than the standards required.

Santanense & Joinville Volunteer Fire Department

Santanense is immensely proud to contribute to serious institutions that perform such an exemplary work before society as the Volunteer Fire Department of Joinville, SC.

The Joinville Volunteer Fire Department is the oldest institution of its kind in the country. Since 1892, it has provided free services to the community in firefighting, pre-hospital care, vehicular, mountain, aquatic and vertical rescue. It is made up of 1,700 people, including child firefighters, volunteers, officers, brigade members and support personnel.

This year, CBV – Joinville will participate in Desafio Catarinense de Resgate (DCR), the biggest rescue event in Latin America, which will take place in Chapecó. The event is organized by ALAREV (ASOCIACIÓN LATINO AMERICANA DE RESCATE VEHICULAR) and the Santa Catarina Military Fire Department. The aim is to exchange technical and theoretical knowledge and provide training, resources and systems for rescue services.

And Santanense was in charge of making the uniforms that will be used by the 12 firefighters participating in the CBV – Joinville team, supplying all the fabric (Unilester Rip Stop) used in the production of the overalls for the tests.

We wish CBV – Joinville an excellent participation in the competition. And we reaffirm our pride in contributing to the cause and Santanense's total commitment to the Fire Departments throughout Brazil.
